Alameda County

Alameda County is one of the Bay Area’s most ethnically diverse regions and ranks among the nation’s top ten most diverse counties. It is home to over 1.5 million residents, spread across 14 incorporated cities, six unincorporated communities, and rural areas within 813 square miles. The incorporated cities include Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, and Union City. The unincorporated communities include Ashland, Castlewood, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, Happy Valley, Hillcrest Knolls, San Lorenzo, and Sunol.
